What Waypoint is building, and what we will not compromise to build it.
Mission
We exist to raise up Christ-centered believers who know God deeply, grow in Christlikeness, and go into the world empowered by the Holy Spirit until He comes again.
Vision
We envision a Spirit-filled, multicultural, multigenerational church family on the Mississippi Gulf Coast, where English and Spanish-speaking believers worship as one body, where new disciples are made and sent, and where Gulfport sees the tangible love of Jesus through Waypoint Church.
Our values
alive
We believe in the manifest presence and power of the Holy Spirit. Worship at Waypoint is genuine, expectant, and alive. Never performative.
centered
Every ministry, message, and decision points back to Jesus. He is not one part of what we do. He is the point of everything we do.
together
We are building a multicultural, multigenerational church family where English and Spanish-speaking believers worship, grow, and serve side by side.
sent
We do not gather people just to keep them. We grow disciples who are equipped and sent to carry Christ into their homes, workplaces, and neighborhoods.
Strategy
Point
We point our community to Jesus through practical, relational outreach: teacher appreciation events, health seminars, feeding the homeless, and simply showing up for our neighbors.
Grow
We grow disciples through Spirit-filled Sunday worship and verse-by-verse teaching, small house gatherings, and a weekly table at PJ’s Coffee where anyone who needs prayer can find their pastor.
Send
We send disciples out to live and share the gospel, unafraid to tell of the goodness of God. We believe we are the people who carry the good news to others.
